This song is based on my past experiences of being 'on the dole' in Plymouth, and reflects some of the feelings of worthlessness that can accompany this spiralling black hole of despair, which has been known to suck the creative juices out of many a local bar-fly who has continued the signing on 'lifestyle' for far too long. The song appears on my album 'A Spanner in the Works', released on Petley's Fashionable Recordings.
