piece explores the awkwardness of male-female intimate physical relationships
by juxtaposing abstract but non explicit imagery that hints at sexuality,
with the mechanical process of opening a can. The painterly rendering of the photorealist derived foreground is designed to reference Baroque old masters while simultaneously channelling the techniques of modern photography. |
