A lot of my sound work has emerged from a desire to produce something a little more engaging than more typical sonic performance. I think that it is important to put on a spectacle, so in my performances I try to develop a communal feeling amongst the audience that involves them in some way with what is going on. From 2006 - 2008 my sound art alter ego Liono created challenging and darkly comical public performances, as well as two independently released albums. I have also presented my own eclectic radio programme Goblin Pie as part of Plymouth Art Centre's Freesound project, as well as playing live folk music and dance in my contemporary morris dancing side Bladder Stick. |
