My
work as a writer always intends to be honest, subtly subversive
and uncompromising. I have had work published in a number of journals
and magazines. My poetry often borrows from roots of popular culture,
often taking phrases from popular music, corrupting and re-visualising
them until they offer a truthful embodiment of the awkward emotional
crises that we are challenged by in day to day life. This can
offer the reader comfort through the awkward humour of refined
self examination. My 'Reading List' project explored the habitual
nature of reading and challenged my own perceptions of its awkward
links to academia. |
